Today's hike will be out of Dripping Springs Campground. We will hike the Wild Horse Trail on the North side of Palomar Mountain. It will be an in and out hike and will be a bit more than 10 miles, although we could make it shorter. There will be a pretty good elevation gain. Be prepared for a possible stream crossing. The hike will start at 9:00am, and we should be back before 3:00pm. Make sure to bring water, snack and lunch. Also, be prepared, it might be cold.
Directions: : To get to the trailhead take I-15 North to Temecula, exit on Hwy. 79 South toward Indio. Go for about 10.4 miles and look for a big sign for Dripping Springs Campground. The entrance will be on your right. You will see the parking lot as soon as you enter the campgrounds. You will need an Adventure Pass or equivalent. Mission Valley Car Pool, , if there is one, departs at 7:45am
